Task Management

The stores really need 8 days in a working week to stay ahead of all the activities that need to get done before Sunday.    So we created a weekly calendar that has 8 "slots", one for each day´s planned activities, and one more for all the tasks that just need to get done sometime before the end of the week, because that’s reality for your stores.

Our task management module provides an easy to view, easy to use store activity calendar that effectively shows the daily (and weekly) head office assigned tasks alongside any recurring or planned store activities that need to be completed.  Tasks can be viewed by priority, assigned to store associates, and marked as completed.  Regional/Operational/Head office management can view the stores task completion status, with automated escalation for high priority tasks that are running late.   Behind this simple interface though is a powerful, collaborative task management capability that allows:

  • Authorized personnel can assign tasks by priority to all stores, or selected stores.
  • A "standard task library" that helps provide realistic task time/effort for scheduling purposes.
  • A "task controller" function that allows for all head office originating tasks to be reviewed by task type and priority to insure that the stores workload is balanced and that no overload’s are unknowingly created.
  • Task reassignment capability in store, to provide for the creation of individual "to do" lists.
  • Creation of recurring tasks at the store to insure that the "Store Calendar" is complete
  • Team discussion areas to provide help or support to store associates who may be having difficulty understanding or completing any task.
  • Task status updating, to indicate compliance, as well as to provide a basis for escalating incomplete tasks.

Task reporting and monitoring to insure that anyone who "needs to know" can review the status of any assigned task.  A merchant on a Monday morning for example may want to look at promotional sales results and check to insure that all stores were in fact set up for the promotion sale, by reviewing that task for completion.
